In the SF6 game, Ken starts with Shinryuken and ends with the downward smash! Ken hits Gill with a face twister punch that leads into the Shin Ryu Ken. Ken's brutal face smash is a reference to the Ken vs Gill fight from the manga. His creativity and influence lives on in the Street Fighter games that came after his work.
